Randi Westervelt  graduated from the Ithaca College School of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education.  She has studied with several noted trumpet teachers and clinicians.  Ms. Westervelt works as a professional trumpet player in the Catskill Symphony Orchestra, Woodstock Chamber Orchestra and has played with the Bard Conservatory of Music Conductors Institute Orchestra for two consecutive summers.  She is also a member of the Huguenot Brass Quintet and Big Blue Big Band.  Her successful performances include various off-Broadway shows and solo recitals in both secular and sacred settings.  Ms. Westervelt has numerous years of teaching private trumpet lessons to young trumpeters and adults alike. Her students have flourished at NYSSMA Solo Festivals (Levels 1-6) and participated in both All-County and Area All-State Ensembles.
